At Sigma, our top commitment is to you and your family; therefore, as part of our effort to build a greener future, we developed eco-friendly packaging for some of your favourite products. Get to know them all!
Let’s build a “Bio-friendly” future together
We develop eco-friendly packaging that reduces our impact on the environment. Currently, we have two main technologies: recycled and biodegradable materials. This way, we reduce our ecological footprint by protecting and maintaining the quality of your favorite products.
Our journey
We work towards to find new and better innovations that allow us to continue reducing our ecological footprint.

Recycled
This symbol means that your packaging is made from reclaimed and reprocessed materials; thus, reducing plastic waste pollution.
How do I contribute to the production of recycled products?
Recycling! The following materials are all recyclable:
Paper and Cardboard: boxes, envelopes, magazines, newspapers, brochures, etc. |
Plastics: bottles and containers of different types, caps, disposable dishes. |
Metals: aluminium cans, beverage cans, deodorant cans, keys. |
Glass: bottles and jars. For example, the packages of Crema Norteñita! |
Remember that in order to be recyclable, all materials must be clean and dry; if they are dirty or wet, they cannot be reused.
Biodegradable
This symbol can be found on packaging that decomposes faster.
How does it work?
Thanks to its placement in biologically active landfills; that is, surrounded by microorganisms and fungi. It is important to mention that this biodegradation is anaerobic (it does not need oxygen). Impressive, right?
The degradation of our bio-friendly packaging is not immediate, it takes at least 5 years under the right conditions. Other plastics take up to 500 years to degrade! We managed to beat the process and gain a few years of advantage, don’t you think?

Discover the advantages
of recycled packaging
Preservation of natural resources
Recycling makes use of pre-existent raw materials, so there is no need to obtain new ones from nature.
Energy saving
Manufacturing packaging from scratch involves more processes than recycling an existing one.
Pollution reduction
Opting for recycled packaging prevents tons of waste from ending up in our seas and oceans.
Oil saving
The main raw material in the production of plastic is oil. By choosing recycled packaging, we reduce the consumption of a non-renewable resource.

of biodegradable packaging
Ecological footprint reduction
Biodegradable packaging returns to its place of origin: the Earth. In addition, since they are not common plastics, they do not release toxic chemicals!
Faster decomposition
If these packages are disposed of correctly, they decompose at least after 5 years!
